身延山

山梨県南巨摩郡身延町にあり、1946年10月頃から大山倍達が山籠り修行を行った。戦後、横暴な行為を繰り返す進駐軍に怒り、米兵に制裁を加えて追われる身となった大山倍達は空手の修行をかねて身延山に入山したといわれている。
