European Weight Category Karate Championships in Berlin
The 29th European Weight Category Karate Championships were successfully held on May 9th in Berlin, Germany, organized by IKO Germany Branch Chief Sensei Slawomir Urbanczyk, and overseen by IKO International Department Director, Shihan Katsuhito Gorai. This championships was the last selection event for the IKO European Team to the 11th World Open Karate Tournament later this year. In addition to Men’s divisions, Women, Junior, Senior and Kata divisions were held, and the event secured a record-breaking 500+ participants from 27 countries, performing before a packed house of spectators.
