Matsui Shokei
Goda Yuzo
Born in Tokyo on March 17, 1940. After graduating high school in April 1959, he dedicated himself to Japanese martial arts. He apprenticed himself to the predecessor of Kyokushin Kaikan, the Oyama Dojo in Ikebukuro. At which he learned Karate directly from the founder Masutatsu Oyama. Even after the Oyama Dojo developed into the Kyokushin Kaikan, he dedicated himself to Kyokushin Karate under Oyama’s guidance. After serving as the assistant chief instructor of the head branch, he was appointed branch chief of the Tokyo Joto Branch in 1976. In 1985 after earning the full trust of Oyama, he was appointed as the senior branch chief, overseeing 50 domestic branches and over 100 international branches. He has also held key positions such as Chairman of the National Branch Chiefs Council and Chief Referee of the Championship Tournament.
Following Oyama’s passing, he has supported Director Matsui as the Chief Advisor of Kyokushin Kaikan and contributed greatly to the organization’s development.
Machida Kyosuke
Born on June 22, 1936, in Tateyama City, Chiba Prefecture. Upon entering junior high school, he apprenticed himself to Masutatsu Oyama, who at that time was operating a dojo out of his home in Tateyama. In his first year of high school, he joined Oyama’s new dojo in Mejiro, Tokyo. After graduating high school, he debuted in the entertainment industry and is known for his roles in Toei’s historical dramas. He currently serves as the Special Advisor of Kyokushin Kaikan and as an advisor to the Tournament Deliberation Committee.
